Vintage Trinket Box with Original Article of Franklin Steamer Built By Champlain Transportation Co. 1827

Champlain Transportation Company's Steamers. The Popular Pleasure Route Between Montreal And New York.
Lake Champlain’s 29 steamboats captured public attention from the launch of Vermont in 1808 to the last voyage of the Ticonderoga in 1953, yet images of the earliest vessels are scarce, making nautical archaeology of Lake Champlain shipwrecks an important source of information about America’s early steamboats.
